What Does ipod Stand For?

The term ‘ipod’ appears to have dual meanings. Apple declared the “i” in iMac to stand for “Internet”. Consideration was given to the out of box know-how given the user was required to go through at most 2 actions to set up and connect to the Internet. Now, the worlds most popular MP3 player with it’s beautiful looks and sleek design the early days of the music player were leading towards Internet integration. Therefore, the ‘I’ in pod was classified to stand for ‘Internet’ giving the term ‘Internet POD’.
However, following technological progression of the iPod this definition lost ground to the ‘Interface Protocol Option Devices’.
Given these two definitions in terms of what does ipod stand for you can now see why the catchy well known name of iPod is the better of the three and was exclusively used to name the now infamous product.
